Marketing for a startup or small company can be difficult. Because people don’t know who you are, you often find that you have a lot of information that you feel you need to tell them the first time they visit your landing page. There’s a pressure to tell them all about your company, your product, what it does, how it works and it benefits them. The downside to all of this, of course, is that it can lead to a very cluttered, messy and disjointed landing page which can lead to visitors being overwhelmed and confused and, ultimately, will cause them to leave.
But it doesn’t have to be that way. Many startups and small businesses place a huge focus on design, simplicity and clarity. A clean, minimalist and simple landing page can still help you to get your message across – but much more succinctly, and in a format that’s less likely to turn visitors away by being over-the-top and cluttered.
