6 Ways to improve Yelp’s design: Why usability testing matters for any site
When you’re deep in designing a website’s layout and user interface, it’s easy to lose sight of what design decisions will help out users the most. There’s plenty to consider already: visual design, typography, color, textures, not to mention the opinions of HIPPOS (the highest paid people in the room). That’s why my company UXPin teamed up with UserTesting and Optimal Workshop to run 3 quick usability tests on Yelp (a fairly complex website) to show how just a few user insights can lead to better design.
